PURCHASING TICKETS: It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance. To do this, you will need to create a profile within our registration system (you do not have to be a Foothill/De Anza student to purchase online - our system is managed by the college and so treats the show as a "class," but we are aware on this side that you are registering for a Planetarium event). * * * Once online tickets sell out, the purchase screen will close and no tickets will be sold at the door the day of the show. If tickets are available at the door the day of the show, they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. * * * TICKETS ARE NOT MAILED. Tickets will be available for pick up at the Planetarium Cashier Counter the day of the show. Please provide Receipt or Confirmation. (Pending transactions from websites are not considered confirmations.) * * * PARKING: Parking permits are $3.00 every day including weekends. Permits may be purchased through the parking machines located in each lot. “Student Lot E” is the nearest lot to the Planetarium. * * * TICKET PURCHASE POLICY: All sales are final. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Cancelled shows will receive an automatic refund. An admission ticket is required for every seat.

The Sun has shone on our world for four and a half billion years. The light that warms our skin today has been felt by every person who has ever lived. It is our nearest star and our planet’s powerhouse, the source of the energy that drives our winds, our weather and all life. The passage of the Sun’s fiery disc across the sky — day by day, month by month — was the only way to keep track of time for countless past civilisations.

Discover the secrets of our star in this planetarium show and experience never-before-seen images of the Sun’s violent surface in immersive fulldome format.

Through impressive immersive scenarios, "Mexica Archaeoastronomy: between space and time" illustrates the important role played by astronomical observation for the evolution of pre-Hispanic cultures in central Mexico. Vibrant colours, shapes and sounds transport the viewer to one of the most important cultures that, to this day, still lives in the heart and skin of the Mexican people.
