Entering Grades 8-9 – This course will help students develop a personalized plan for PSAT 8/9, by providing a brief review of the concepts, and extensive practice opportunities for the Mathematics sections and test-taking strategies. The practice problems include appropriate grade problems from the “HEART of Algebra” and “Problem Solving and Data Analysis” sections of the SAT suite. Including solving one and two variables linear, equations, and inequalities and applying the concept of ratio to solve percentage problem in context, and fluency in the understanding of the central data tendencies. The students learn and practice to carry out procedures flexibly, accurately, efficiently, and strategically. For students that require more than an overview of the concepts, the instructor provides resources that students can use to learn the necessary mathematical principles.
