INTRODUCTION TO HIGH SCHOOL PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS*

Entering Grades 9-12 – This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of statistics and probability. Students will learn how to design studies that produce useful data, as well as how to analyze categorical data, how to display quantitative data with graphs and how to describe quantitative data with numbers.  Students will study sampling and surveys as well as experiments and techniques for analyzing studies wisely. Students will learn how to calculate probabilities and how to interpret results in plain language.
