INTRODUCTION TO PYTHON PROGRAMMING
Entering Grades 4 and 5 – This course is a great introduction to both fundamental object oriented programming concepts and Python programming. The class includes some written materials, short lecture videos, code exercises and fun mini projects in each lesson to learn and practice programming concepts. In this course, students will learn about variables, loops, conditional statements, function creation, classes and objects. By the end, students will be familiar with Python syntax and they will be able to put into practice what they will have learned in a final project they will develop. Class sessions include time to work on the program and homework with assistance from the instructor. All the programs and classwork will be saved online or on a flash drive and students can have access to their projects from home.
