GEOMETRY & SPATIAL SENSE
Entering grades seven and eight Recommended Prerequisite: Students are enrolled in Geometry for the 2017-18 school year. This course will introduce students to Euclidean geometry and assist students in the understanding of two- and three- dimensional space. Students will develop important basic geometry skills and explore various proofs through logical deduction. The instructional program will include hands-on explorations of geometric transformations, similar and congruent polygons, area and volume of solids, 2-D and 3-D polygons and polyhedra as well as the Pythagorean theorem. Includes book.
