INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL ELECTRONICS (Lawson Only)
Entering grades seven to nine – Explore the world of digital electronics! Build circuits that flash lights, shift and make noise. Learn how electronic devices count and make decisions. Learn about and use flip-flops, shift registers, binary numbers and digital logic. Build alarm circuits that detect light and hear sounds. Students will learn to use a simulation app to design and test a circuit, and then actually build it. Projects will vary depending on students’ level of interest and ability. The class website will remain available after the course is over so that students can continue to experiment. Complete lab kit included.
